Frequently Asked Questions
Your questions answered.
We’ve answered some of our most common questions below. If your question hasn’t been answered, feel free to reach out to our team through the contact form below. We’re here to help.
What types of dental emergencies do you treat?
We treat most urgent dental issues, including toothaches, infections, chipped or broken teeth, swelling, lost fillings, broken crowns, sensitivity and trauma. If it’s hurting, bleeding or worrying you, book an appointment.
Do I need to call first, or can I book directly online?
There’s no need to call (unless you have a question not answered here!). Just follow this link and book directly online in under 60 seconds. It’s simple, secure and will let you grab the next available appointment whether it’s after hours, on the weekend or even on a public holiday. It’s the best way to get your dental emergency treated fast.
How much will my appointment cost? Are there any hidden fees?
Can I use my private health insurance?
Yes. We accept all major dental insurance. If you have general dental extras cover with no waiting period and your policy covers at least $100 of appointment charges per visit, your out-of-pocket fees for treatment will be capped at $100.
Just remember to bring your health fund card (either physical or digital) with you.
What if I need more than one issue treated?
Are you open on public holidays and weekends?
Can I come to you for my regular dental check-ups and cleanings?
Unfortunately not. We’re not a general dental clinic. Instead, we specialise in emergency dental care only. That means that we don’t do check-ups, cleanings or manage long-term treatment plans. We leave these regular treatments to your regular dentist.
If you don’t have a regular dentist, we’re happy to refer you on after any emergency treatments with us. And we’ll send along a detailed report of any treatments you receive with us too.
What happens if you can’t fix the issue at my appointment?
We can treat most dental emergencies in a single visit. But if we believe you need specialist care or a different service, we’ll refer you to the right expert for your needs. You’ll still get a full diagnosis, X-rays (if needed), treatments and pain management as appropriate, as well as a detailed report to help streamline your next steps.
